Hike Little Adams Peak

Located just outside of the town, the trailhead is within easy access to most Ella resorts. The timing of sunrise and sunset may vary somewhat during different parts of the year; however, both offer a good view of nature’s amazing beauty. Once you reach the peak, the unobstructed panoramic view of the valleys and tea estates is simply incredible. The total hike both ways may take a maximum of two hours. Ravana Falls

This cascading waterfall is named after the legendary King Ravana of the Indian Epic Ramayana. Dropping from a height of 25 m, the water falls into a series of pools that simply invite you for a dip. It is especially beautiful during the monsoon season when water flows in abundance, as happens from October to December.Getting to Ravana Falls from properties like the 98 Acres Resort and Spa is easy by tuk-tuk or can even be done on foot. Tea Factory Visit

Visiting a tea plantation and factory is a fascinating experience on this tiny island, as Sri Lanka is the world's fourth-largest tea-exporting nation. Established in the mid-20th century, Uva Halpewatte Tea Factory offers a Factory Tour and a Tea Plantation Tour, and some visitors take both tours.A well-experienced member from the tea plantation or the factory usually leads the visitors on these illuminating tours.  It is interesting to discover that as much as 20kg of tea leaves per day are picked by tea pluckers during the sunny period, which can go down to half of that during the rainy season. Couples can also try tea plucking on the tour and try tea tasting. Packs of tea can be purchased at the end of these tours.

Explore the Nine Arch Bridge

Commissioned during the early 20th century during the British Colonial rule in Sri Lanka, the iconic Nine Arch Bridge is a testament to the outstanding architectural and engineering acumen of that era. This wondrous bridge, also called the Bridge in the Sky, is between Ella and Demodara railway stations. A visit here should be done early, just as the day breaks. Later during the day, the railway station and the tracks get busy with train movements and crowds of locals and visitors. By arriving early, you get to the bridge shrouded in mist, and the call of birds awakening the world. And quite soon, you witness the beautiful bridge as the mist dissipates, rising in its grandeur despite its age. 

Apart from admiring the massive bridge with nine arches, the rolling scenery of lush green is a treat for your eyes, the same picturesque beauty that train commuters admire over this region, and the reason this bridge is so popular. This is a unique experience for honeymooners in Sri Lanka.
