Current concern
The current pandemic is by far the biggest concern in anyone’s mind at the moment as it has affected a majority of the countries around the globe and the tourism industry as a whole. The spread of the deadly virus is the main concern and how it can be slowed down and controlled is the main way countries are focusing on in order to contain the virus and prevent it from spreading further. While some countries have been able to successfully raise from the global pandemic other countries are still struggling and need support. Once you have got both your jabs and still maintain social distancing and continue to wear face masks and wash your hands frequently there isn’t much you need to worry about in terms of getting infected. Travelling will soon become the main interest as it has been for the past couple of years before Covid-19 came into the limelight.
Common health issues
One of the main concerns when travelling to a new country which is an unknown territory is about the illnesses and safety situations in that country. It could be war or diseases but it is best to find out details and be prepared before you embark on the journey. Some of the concerns when travelling to Vietnam are the infections that are carried through mosquitos and food poisoning due to the unfamiliarity in the ingredients and cooking process. One of the best ways to avoid this is to stay at a reputed hotel or Quy Nhon resort such as the Avani Quy Nhon Resort and make sure you only eat from good restaurants while also being safe and trying to only drink bottled water. Most hotels and resorts will provide water bottles for your stay which will make the process easier for their guests. As for mosquito-borne diseases, it is vital that you carry a mosquito and insect repellent so you can protect yourself from any insect bites. Another health concern for some is the heat as the tropical country does tend to reach rather high temperatures which are not familiar for those who live in countries that are predominantly used to cold weather.
What you need to do
Always make sure you are eating from clean restaurants and hotels that either has good ratings from other travellers or find restaurants and eating spaces that are recommended by your hotel. If a location has a lot of foreigners eating from that place it means it has been able to cater to a lot of other travellers who are not used to the local food. However, this should not mean you stick only to fast food chains that can be found everywhere, it only means you need to be careful about the cleanliness of the food that you will be consuming. In order to prevent getting sunburns always apply sunscreen before leaving the hotel or resort and remember to reapply in a few hours. This will help you protect your skin from the harsh rays and prevent you from getting nasty sunburns and ruining the rest of your vacation. Finding out locations that are high-risk zones for health diseases and avoiding them from your itinerary can also be done so as to avoid putting yourself at any health risk.
